Nov 1st, 2020 First Creek Field Trip Report

On Sunday Nov. 1st we went to First Creek near Cle Elum.
We had perfect weather for this outing. The 2 mile hike started out chilly, but did get nice enough to peel off jackets. Beautiful blue skies. 17 of us altogether, including some new members and guests, 1 of which was under a year old. We stayed pretty well spread out. There are so many good digging areas and collecting sites there. I’ve cancelled our Nov. 7th trip to Little Naches due to winter weather conditions, so this trip may have been our last trip of the year. If we get some warmer dry weather towards late Nov. I’ll add another fieldtrip. Stay tuned.

Presidents Message

  • From the Top of the Rock Pile From the Top of the Rock Pile Our Gem Show is sold out. Everything is moving along with the show. We will be asking for volunteers at the June meeting plus via email. Please plan on helping out at our show. It takes around 50 people to cover all 3 days. I have not been out to see how the building of our indoor shop is coming along at Roger’s home, but I hear from members that it is really coming along. With some good weather, progress should really move along fast. If
